(On entering Carmel) I came to save souls and especially to pray for priests.

You know well that Our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, as at the love with which we do them.

When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens,I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.

Above the clouds the sky is always blue.

If all flowers wanted to be roses, nature would lose her springtime beauty and the fields would no longer be decked out with little wildflowers.

Humor is also a way of saying something serious.

No matter how small you start, always dream big.

Feeling low is normal, or sometimes, healthy. A lot of great things this world has witnessed were kickstarted by men when they felt low.

If you want to trust yourself, make decisions that aregrounded in your authentic principles. Don’t lie. Don’tcheat. Don’t push others down to obtain success.

Every question was also an opportunity to create an impression that would guide how all subsequent answers to questions got interpreted.

It isn't death, pain, exile or anything else you care to mention that accounts for the way we act, only our opinion about death, pain and the rest.

Design, refine and repeat, and keep learning all the way along. It sounds bland and pedestrian, but in fact, it's the reverse.

I insist upon the view that 'all is waves'.
