A drop of ink may make a million think.

It is said a pen is mightier than a sword. This statement holds power because a sword might affect one or two people, but words written by a pen affect millions. It makes each and every person think about what is written. Words influence millions, helps them to think and form an opinion.

The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain.

The worst feeling is the feeling of nothingness. To even feel something, even pain, is better than feeling nothing. To feel, to conceive emotions makes us more human-like.

I love not man the less, but Nature more.

Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves.

Those who don’t debate when the outcome is in their favour, even if it is wrong, are partial and selfish. Those who simply cannot debate are fools as they will not be able to fight for their own rights. But those who are too scared to debate and stand up for their rights are just slaves of the oppressor.

There is no instinct like that of the heart.

Oftentimes our heart and mind say two different things. A lot of times logic and emotions clash with each other. This collision can lead to a state of confusion. But we should always go with our heart after analyzing our brain. Life is nothing without our emotions. This decision making heart will often lead us to the correct path.

Sorrow is knowledge, those that know the most must mourn the deepest, the tree of knowledge is not the tree of life.

The more you know, the more you get upset knowing the harsher truths of life which aren’t well known. With the knowledge, you realize it is not a strawberry world that we live in. Happiness is in not knowing these ugly truths. Even sorrow is not in knowing these facts, sorrow is in knowing them but not being able to change anything about it.

The heart will break, but broken live on.

Wounds can be healed, but scars last forever. If someone breaks your heart, the heart might heal in a few days. But the trust that is broken, the mistakes that you learn, live with you forever.

Few more Quotes by Lord Byron...

Adversity is the first path to truth.

The path to truth is always filled with hurdles. Truth is a prize that needs a lot of hardships to win. This truth has the power of freeing us. And to get to that truth, to deserve it, we need to overcome a lot of things first.

Happiness was born a twin.

Happiness and knowledge are two things that increase by sharing. Spreading happiness increases positivity in the world. This positivity will come back to you when you are in dire need of it. Needless of it being helpful to you or not, just doing a good deed wouldn’t do anyone any harm.

Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.

Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is scientifically proven to strengthen our immune system, boosts mood, diminishes pain. It has also proven to reduce stress by producing endorphins. Nothing works faster to brings steadiness to our mind and body than a hilarious laugh.

They never fail who die in a great cause.

If you give your best shot, then even if you die trying, it wouldn’t matter. Succeeding or failing is not important, trying your best is what counts. The pressure that comes in winning doesn’t pressurize you when you aim just to give your best.

Death, so called, is a thing which makes men weep, And yet a third of life is passed in sleep.

Death is something that is feared by the living a lot. Yet a lot of people forget to live their lives and just continue surviving. They spend their entire life worrying about death that they forget to live their life to the full extent. Hence, these people spend a lot of time sleeping, meaning doing nothing lively just because they are busy worrying about death.

The best prophet of the future is past

Prophets guide us, correct us from doing wrong, and teach us a valuable lesson. Even our past mistakes teach us a lot and guide us towards the correct path. Hence our past is referred to as the best prophet.

Some more Lord Byron Quotes...

Fame is the thirst of youth.

The youth is always ambitious. Be it the ambition to succeed, to be rich, or to attain fame. This ambition drives them to work hard and achieve their dreams. This ambition or thirst often drives the youth toward an immoral path that offers a seemingly “shorter path for success.”

The busy have no time for tears.

Someone who has goals in their mind doesn’t have time to cry over defeats. Even though crying doesn’t make you weaker, it doesn’t let you focus on the future and forces you to dwell in the past. So if you want to achieve your goals, don’t cry over failures and concentrate on the road ahead.

Love will find a way through paths where wolves fear to prey.

Love is much more powerful than hatred. What you cannot achieve through hate and violence can be attained through love. Love paves a way in which no weapon can clear. Even a defeat with love in your heart is considered more successful than hate and envy filled victory.

If I do not write to empty my mind, I go mad.

Writing has proven to be a great stress buster for a lot of people. Writing helps accumulate our thoughts which are scattered haywire in our mind. Good writing skills help us to communicate our message to a larger audience. Writing improves the thinking process and contributes to the development of critical thinking skills.

You gave me the key to your heart, my love, then why did you make me knock?

A lot of times in any relationship, you might love a person wholeheartedly but still not be able to trust them. These trust issues might have arrived from prior mishaps. Lord Byron has criticized such a situation in any relation.

What deep wounds ever closed without a scar?

You might overcome a certain mishap physically, but its emotional effect is everlasting. Even if the wounds close, the scars don’t go away quickly, and it might even take years. People say time heals all wounds but does it really do. Can you actually forget what caused the pain in the first place? What caused the heartbreak in the first place

If I could always read I should never feel the want of company.

Books are man’s greatest companion. They transport us to worlds we could never visit in our lifetime. Books written by great persons generate noble thoughts in us. They give us analytical skills. Books have accelerated the progress of our civilization. The companionship of these books has distanced Lord Byron from the want of being with people.

I deny nothing, but doubt everything.

It is okay to trust people, but blind trust can prove fatal. After analyzing everything, it is fine to agree with people but never just nod along to things you don’t know anything about.
