Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people.

It's a fact that we all have to accept that mediocre people can get no close to high achievers. High achievers don't like mediocre at all. The same goes the other way around, as mediocres hate high achievers. What it means is that both of them look at victory from different perspectives.

Great leaders are not always popular.

If you are popular, it doesn't mean that you are a great leader as well. Great leaders can be people who may not have popular support or mandate as well. What goes into making a great leader are qualities like passion for their job, team spirit, etc. If you have these skills, you are a great leader, irrespective of your fame.

Character is what you do when no one else is watching.

What you do behind the back of others is your real nature and character. You mostly pretend in front of others to create a good impression. However, if someone sees you do things when you are alone, that's what will describe your nature.

Great leaders do not rush to make changes because of failure.

If you fail, then that doesn't mean that you have to make changes so quickly. Failure can make you believe that our entire strategy of preparation was wrong. However, you have to take baby steps to see where and what your fault was. You have to gradually improve and turn that failure into success.

No matter what your chosen profession, be prepared for an opportunity and be willing to take it—your destiny may depend on it.

No matter what profession you have chosen, you should always look for more opportunities in it. You should not limit yourself only to that job. You should be willing to take that opportunity and shape your career and destiny in your way. Your entire future depends on how you use that chance.

Lesson 2. Great leaders allow the team to take ownership of the rules.

Great leaders do take certain team decisions themselves. However, they also make room for other team members to take ownership of their ideas and rules. This means that teammates will be allowed to take their own decisions while keeping the team spirit intact.

Talent is putting skills into productive use.

Having talent is a potential quality. However, to put it into real use, you will have to enhance your productivity. You will have to use your talent in the right way and at the right place to make it work. Simply having talent will take you nowhere. Use it in the right way!

Education does not promise success but makes it easier.

What we often forget is that education is not at all a guarantee of success. It's just a medium through which achieving success becomes easier. Yet in no way it means you can get everything you want. You will have to constantly work in the way towards your goals to achieve success.

Baseball manager Casey Stengel once quipped, "The secret of managing is to keep the guys who hate you away from the undecided guys."

This is a very witty yet reliable and honest quote. This quote rests on the belief that to be a good manager, you should know one trick. That trick is about keeping people who hate you away from ones who still don't have any concrete opinion about you. This way, your haters won't be able to badmouth you in front of others.

Champions are rare. Everybody has some chance, some opportunity to change and improve, but not everybody takes advantage. Be somebody who does.

Why are champions so rare? That's because they use the opportunities that they have. Opportunities are there all around in this world. However, the way you use them describes your self-esteem and belief in your game.

Everybody gets chances in their life. Yet, using them to the fullest makes you a champion.

Don't want to see, you must decide if the battle is worth your time and effort. In your life, only you can decide what is worth going to battle for, keeping in mind what may be sacrificed in the process.

Always keep in mind that you don't have to take part in all battles of life. You have to be very choosy in whatever you do. You have to properly analyze if the battle is worth your time and efforts. And if you find out that it isn't, then don't go. Look out for losses and gains when going out in a battle.

The good is enough attitude is not what we're looking for, we have got to use every opportunity to improve individually so we can improve collectively

We shouldn't restrict ourselves to only "good". By being lethargic or limiting ourselves to just good things, we are ignoring the larger scope of improvement. Rather we have to use every opportunity individually, in the best way possible. We should improve individually to see the collective growth of the entire team.

Recognize certain traits that seem to be in every champion: passion, commitment, confidence, pride in performance, high standards of excellence, relentlessness, perseverance, and the ability to perform in adverse circumstances.

This quote is very self-understanding in the first place. It means that if we recognize all the good qualities in a true champion, we can try being like them. There's a lot that goes into the making of a champion. However, if you map the skills required, you can become one too. Passion, commitment, excellence etc., are the main traits.

In your business and personal life, think of those who are dominant. What do they all have in common? Do you have it in you to be like them?

How do you figure out as to what qualities to imbibe in yourself to be a dominant one in the workspace? You have to look around and find people who are the dominant ones in your personal and professional life. Map what qualities they have in common and build them in yourself.

It's sometimes difficult for employees to respect individual differences in their coworkers. Often I remind our various staff groups that we treat everyone fairly and honestly—but we don't treat them all the same.

It's sometimes very difficult to make a good bond with your colleagues. You tend to have differences that get accelerated. You sometimes may hold different opinions on the same issue. Yet one should always treat each other in the nicest way possible. There should be fairness and honesty in a team.

Few more Nick Saban Motivational Quotes..

Your message should be constant. Talk to your kids about drugs and alcohol from an early age and don't stop. Encourage your employees every day—not simply after successes, but through the tough times as well.

Your support for someone should be constant. It shouldn't be just on happy days. It should be every day. You should constantly guide your children and not just when they win something. The same holds in the case of employees. Motivate them every day.

There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you'll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment.

There are two pains in this world: the pain of discipline and disappointment. If you don't discipline yourself at an early stage, you will have to miss out on a lot of opportunities. This way you will feel disappointed. However, once you handle the pain of discipline, the pain of disappointment will automatically get controlled.

The difference between belief and trust can be monumental. We may believe in others, but do we trust them? To firmly trust people means putting your successes and health in their hands.

There's a lot of difference between trust and belief. Something that we fail to take into account. Believing in someone means that we think that they can do great things in life. Yet trusting someone is a deeper sentiment wherein we believe a person in its entirety. We put our successes in their hands.

Some of the great leaders in history were not adored but respected. My advice to leaders—stop trying to please everyone and do what you believe is best.

Leaders have to stop gaining popular support. You are not supposed to please everyone around you because that's ethically incorrect. Sometimes you have to make decisions that come out as rude, and people may not like you for them. Yet, a leader has to stay strong and feel respected. Respect is more important than popularity.

That's the mentality champions have. Winning on the road in sports or going into a rival company's region and winning just feels better. Instead of seeing the challenge as We have to, we should see all challenges as We get to.

The true mentality of champions is such that they always think about winning. They never think about the challenge as a challenge. Rather they always think about where they "would get to" by completing that challenge. Thus, they think about winning more than the problem itself.
