15 Beauty Essentials That Every Woman Should Own

This article talks about the beauty essentials which every woman should have. These would help her in enhancing her beauty, keeping her fresh which in turn, would build up her confidence.

Among so many beauty products women many times get confused to pick out the most essential one. As a fact, these products are essential to keep healthy skin. To always look fresh and toned, these beauty products are a must as to start a beauty routine, healthy skin is essential.

Without a hydrated and glowing skin, we sometimes cannot come up with our best look. Whether you are a college student, a 9-5 working professional, or starting your first job the absolute must-have make-up, skin, and hair buys are necessary. So sharing here the 15 beauty essentials every woman should own:

Cleansing oil

The cleansing oil is used to remove the make-up, and this is the first step to healthy skin. A cleansing oil must be used before a cleanser to remove the make-up gently and to slide off the dirt. You can also make cleansing oil at home according to your skin type (dry, oily). The cleansing oil should have antibacterial properties.

During cold, use coconut oil that does not solidify. Avoid using essential oil if you have sensitive skin or use it in a very low amount (0.5%). You can go for grapefruit, neroli, and sweet orange oil. Always apply cleansing oil with a soft bamboo fibre or a cotton roundel.

Facial moisturizer

Every woman needs a facial moisturizer to balance the oil in the skin. The moisturizer keeps the skin hydrated and healthy and acts as a barrier for your skin.

  • Dry skin will benefit from a heavy, oil-based moisturizer
  • Oily skin will benefit from a light, water-based moisturizer
  • Sensitive skin will benefit from a smooth moisturizer that will be not harsh
  • Mature skin will benefit from an oil-based moisturizer

Always check the ingredients of the product to see whether it is hypoallergenic or not. Take simple tests if you are not sure about your skin type.

Concealer

Concealer is used below the eyes to cover dark circles, a blemish, or to even out skin tone. Pick a formulated concealer for your trouble spots, under-eye circles, pimples, or veins. Don’t do for a liquid concealer if you have dry skin and don’t go for a sticky or creamy concealer if you have oily skin.

For the undereye area, select a concealer that is one or two shades lighter to your natural skin tone, and for our face, select one that matches the colour of your foundation.

Liquid concealer:

  • Best for Normal, dry, oily, and sensitive skin.
  • Coverage ranges from light to full.
  • Most versatile type.

Stick concealer:

  • Best for normal and dry skin.
  • Coverage ranges from medium to full
  • Has a semi-solid texture and is richly pigmented.

Blush

For a natural look, choose a blush with the same tone as your skin. For a bold look, choose the one that has the opposite undertone as your skin. Warm blushes include coral, peach, and tangerine, whereas cool blushes include fuchsia, raisin, and pink. Cream blushes give a high impact colour with a natural look. Rich pink or mauve shades are best for a natural look.

Mascara

Want over-the-top, doll-like lashes? A decent mascara can give you them! A lengthening mascara will work for short and stubby lashes. You don’t need a lash curler for naturally curled lashes, but women who have straight lashes can curl them before applying mascara.

Red lipstick

The best outfit and jewellery are incomplete without red lipstick. It not only gives you confidence but also makes you feel like you stepped out of a magazine. Fair complexions can go for a raspberry colour lipstick to make your smile pop. For light and medium complexion use a slight orange-based colour, and for dark complexion, you can go for a blue-based red lipstick shade.

Face and hand Wipes

Sleeping while your make-up is still on is the worst thing, and these wipes can be the lifesavers then. These not only remove the make-up but also shave off germs from your skin. Some of the best wipes are Kara and Himalaya. These keep the skin clean and hydrated when you are out on a busy, sunny day for work.

Kajal

Girl’s best friend! From normal to sensitive eyes, kajal fits best for everyone. You can either go for a smudge-free, waterproof one or the one that readily comes out. Kajal makes the eyes pretty, and it is the easiest way to transform your look. Just one glide above your water line and you are ready to conquer.

Lip balm

Always keep a lip balm with you to smoothen your chapped lips (that are sometimes painful too). A tinted lip balm will give hydration along with colour. You can also make a lip balm at home easily. Just melt some bee wax, coconut oil, and almond oil over medium heat and stir till the mixture melts. Add some essential oil and stir till the mixture cools. Pour in a tin box and let it set.

Foundation

The water-resistant foundation will work till the evening to keep you flawless. According to your skin type, you can opt for creamy or a powdery foundation. For that, you must know if your complexion has a warm or neutral tone. Use a brush for applying a foundation as it will give a natural and smooth appearance.

Eye shadow

A nude palette has shades that are not only perfect but also durable for a nighttime look. A darker shade can go for an evening event or an after-office party. Before choosing the type of eye shadow, be sure about the texture and the type you want. You can go for a no sparkle like matte or a shining one.

Sunscreen

To protect your skin from UV rays, a sunscreen is a must. It helps to keep the skin healthy, prevents ageing and discoloration. Apply it after cleansing in the morning whenever you go out on a bright sunny day. Make sure you go for a sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection and sun protection with 30 or higher SPF factor.

Compact

A compact powder adds instant freshness and mattifies your skin. Go for the shade that matches your skin colour so you should know your skin type and coverage level. You can opt for one with sheer coverage if you need a natural look. A translucent powder will also work. Rather than trying by applying the product on the backside of your hand, apply it on the face.

Dry shampoo

Dry shampoo prevents oily and lank hair throughout the day and adds freshness and volume to flat hair. Apply it on the roots to soak up excess grease. Do not spray it too much and very close to your scalp. Hold it at least 6 inches away from your head and apply it in sections.

bb cream

bb cream is available for all skin types, be it oily, acne-prone, or dry skin. Bb stands for beauty balm, and it has various skincare benefits. It comes in matte, oil-free, and one with moisturizing formula so choose it wisely.

Along with the beauty essentials, it is of utmost importance to keep a healthy and balanced diet for natural and glowing skin and shiny hair. A balanced diet should always include green vegetables and citrus fruits as these are the source of vitamin E and vitamin C. Never forget to wear your smile and confidence. It is the beauty essential that you must never lose.

Conclusion

So, here was a shot list of these beauty essentials. These might change over time. But one thing that will remain the same is the passion of dressing up.
